Volunteering

For the 2019-2020 system, we will be using a new swim portal to track volunteer job signups and volunteer hours (called points this year).  After you register, your portal will have a tab for volunteer opportunities and volunteer points.

Withdrawals

 

If your swimmer decides to stop swimming in the middle of a session, please email thealmadenriptide@gmail.com thirty days before your swimmer's last practice day.  An administrator needs to stop automatic billing in your portal.  You will be notified 7 days before the automatic payment is deducted (5th day of every month), so this is a good time to email the team if you are withdrawing. Monthly payments are due until you receive a confirmation email.  Please note that we do not prorate monthly dues.

If your athlete does not plan to swim past the first session, you simply do not register your athlete for the February/March season.  There is no need to send an email to withdraw if your swimmer is completing their current session.

Registration 

 

Registration for the 2019-2020 season will open on August 12, 2019 at 5PM.  We are excited to offer Swim Manager this year for registration as well as automatic payment.  You may use eChecks or credit cards to automatically pay your monthly dues, and you are required to pay online when you register your swimmer(s) this year.  

For returning Riptide families, please register your swimmer in the current group unless you have heard from your coach to move the swimmer up to another group.  

For new swimmers, please fill out a hardcopy waiver form and attend what practice you think will best fit you during the first week in September.  We practice at Shadow Brook Pool, 1079 Shadow Brook Drive. We also will have hardcopies of the waiver form on deck as well.

Riptide Session 1:  September 3, 2019 through January 31, 2020 (after Zone1S Champs)

Riptide Session 2:  February 1, 2020 through March 31, 2020 (those who want to move to Cabana)

Riptide Session 3:  April 1, 2020 through July 31, 2020 (those who want to swim during the long course season)

Step 2. Use the link below to register and pay for your swimmer.

USA Swimming registrations are included with Swim Manager.  If you are currently registered with another year-round swim club (cabana summer teams do not count), you will need to fill out a transfer form (see Step 4).  There are several questions related to USA Swimming's registration that you will be completing within Swim Manager.

When you register, you will be filling out all the information for parents and guardians, and then for the first athlete.  On the payment page, there is an +Add another swimmer above the top right part of the box.  Please click on this to add another swimmer BEFORE YOU PAY. If you pay before you add additional swimmers, you will be charged additional annual fees, and you will not qualify for 3rd and 4th sibling discounts. Continue to add swimmers until you have added all your swimmers, and then checkout/pay.  

Before you pay for your registration, you will be asked to select minimum payment or pay current bill in full. Minimum payment is just to register your athlete(s).  Full payment includes the cost of registration PLUS the first month's dues.  If you select full payment, your next payment will be due the second month of the season.

Step 3. Access your parent swim portal.

After you complete registration, you will see a link to your swim portal. Please use the link to track volunteer points, see when your next payment is due, and see what events are coming up.

Step 4. USA Swimming Registration

Swim Manager works directly with USA swimming to register the athletes.  If you are new to year-round swimming, or if you are a returning Riptide swimmer, your registration is complete.

If you are transferring from another year-round team, please click HERE for a transfer form.  Please download and print the form.  The club code is TIDE. 

Please give your transfer form to your coach.
