


Volunteering
For the 2021-2022 season, Riptide is hoping that we are back to normal and parents will be allowed on deck. You can volunteer for jobs and track your volunteer hours through the Active swim portal link (will be posted once registration opens in mid-August).
If you need to be reimbursed for expenses incurred while volunteering for a Riptide function, please use the Reimbursement Form.
Withdrawals
The first session goes from September 7 through April 30, 2021. If your swimmer decides to stop swimming for any reason, please kindly give the team 30 days notice by submitting the withdrawal form below. Your registration will be cancelled, and you will have to re-register should your swimmer want to rejoin the team.
If your swimmer just wants to stop swimming for a few months, you need to place your membership on hold. Your billings will be paused, but your spot will not be saved. If there is a waiting list for your group, there may not be a spot open when you are ready to return. We will do what we can to have you rejoin the team, but we cannot guarantee you a spot.
Registration
Registration for the 2020-2021 season will open on August 13, 2021 at 5PM. We are excited to offer Active Swim Manager again this year for registration as well as automatic payment. You may use eChecks or credit cards to automatically pay your monthly dues, and you are required to pay online when you register your swimmer(s).
For returning Riptide families, you will receive an email with your swimmer's group.
For new swimmers, please email thealmadenriptide@gmail.com to schedule a tryout. We practice at Shadow Brook Pool, 1079 Shadow Brook Drive and Almaden Country Club, 6663 Hampton Drive.
Riptide Session 1: September 1, 2021 through April 30, 2022
Riptide Session 3: May 1, 2022 through July 31, 2022 (long course season)


Step 1. Review the Team Handbook
Please read our Riptide Handbook before registering your swimmer(s) for the 2021-22 season.
Step 2. Use the link below to register and pay for your swimmer.
We have additional spots on our swim team. Please email thealmadenriptide@gmail.com if you are interested in joining the team.

Step 3. Access your parent swim portal.
After you complete registration, you will see a link to your swim portal. Please use the link to track volunteer points, see when your next payment is due, and see what events are coming up.

Step 4. USA Swimming Registration
Swim Manager works directly with USA swimming to register the athletes. If you are new to year-round swimming, or if you are a returning Riptide swimmer, your registration is complete.
Transfers and Upgrades from Flex
If you are transferring from another year-round team, please click HERE for a transfer form. Please download and print the form. The club code is TIDE.
New for 2021-22, you will have to pay a $15 transfer fee to switch teams. Please mail your form and payment directly to the address on the form.
If you have a FLEX membership and have already swam in two USA Swimming sanctioned meets, you need to upgrade your current flex membership to a year round membership. Click HERE to print an upgrade form. Please mail your form and payment to the address listed on the form.
