COMPETITIVE GROUPS

Performing 1 and 2 - (13 and Up) Swimmers in this group have committed to being full time year-round swimmers (continues through high school season and summer). Swimmers in this group should have at least 1 Senior 2 time standard which can be found here http://www.pacswim.org/swim-meet-times/standards. Practices are offered at least 5 times a week with some Saturdays and mornings added when necessary. Swimmers in this group should enter all meets asked of them and will have at least one required travel meet. Practice attendance should be at least 80%. Swimmers in this group should want to qualify for Far Westerns, CCS, Sectionals, Futures, Junior Nationals, etc.  Before registering for this group, please get the coach's approval.

Achieving- (11 and Up) This is a group for our higher level middle school swimmers as well as high school swimmers. Swimmers should have at least an 11-12 A Time to swim in this group. Swimmers should want to achieve Junior Olympics, Far Westerns, and CCS Time Standards.

Dreaming- (14 and Under) This is a group for our Intermediate Swimmers. Practices are offered 5 times a week. Swimmers will work on all 4 strokes as well as begin to do more structured workouts. Swimmers in this group should want to qualify for Junior Olympics and Far Westerns.

Learning 1- (12 and Under) This is a group for our Beginner to Intermediate Swimmers who can handle a little longer practice time (at least an hour). Swimmers will be taught all 4 strokes and learn how to train to be successful in club swimming.  All swimmers in this group must be able to swim 25 yards unassisted in freestyle and backstroke.

Learning 2- (11 and Under) This is a group for our Beginner Swimmers. Swimmers will be taught all 4 strokes and learn how to train to be successful in club swimming.  All swimmers in this group must be able to swim at least 25 yards unassisted.

RECREATIONAL GROUPS

All swimmers on the recreational team must be able to swim freestyle at least 25 yards unassisted.

Exploring 1 - (9 and under)  This group, for our younger swimmers, practices twice a week on Mondays and Wednesdays, and every other Friday.  Swimming in meets are optional.  Swimmers should still want to improve their swimming ability.

Exploring 2 - (8 to 12) This group for, slightly older swimmers (10 to 12), practices twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and every other Friday.  Swimming in meets are optional.  Swimmers should still want to improve their swimming ability.

Accelerating - (12 and over) This group is for our oldest recreational swimmers and practices four times per week at a later time so they can complete homework or other activities before practice.  Swimmers are interested in maintaining their conditioning for high school and/or cabana swimming.
